Chairman of Abakaliki Football Club Senator Obinna Ogba has said the prize money at stake in the 2025 President Federation Cup final will inspire his players to give their best and aim for victory against Kwara United of Ilorin on Saturday when both teams file out at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena , Onikan, Lagos.
Speaking to wwww.sunrisetimes.com.ng ahead of the big match, Senator Ogba explained that the financial reward means a lot to the team and will push them to fight hard on the pitch.
In his words: “My boys know what is at stake,” he said. “The prize money is a big motivation, and it will definitely bring out the best in them.”
He added that the team has prepared well and they are determined to make their supporters proud when they face Kwara United in the men’s final on Saturday.
Ogba, a former Chairman of the Senate committee on sports also praised his players’ commitment saying they are ready to prove they are ready and deserve to be crowned champions.
The 2025 President Federation Cup will see Abakaliki FC from Ebonyi state trade tackles with Kwara United of Ilorin in the Men’s category while the Women’s category will feature on perennial finalists Rivers Angels and Nasarawa Amazons fight for bragging rights.
