According to reports, the filling station’s fuel pump would read as though it was dispensing fuel, but in reality, no fuel was coming out—only air.
This discovery was made during a routine inspection by NMDPRA officials, who were tipped off by several complaints from motorists. The filling station, whose location remains undisclosed for now, is under investigation, and the regulatory authority has vowed to take stringent actions against the perpetrators.
