The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has introduced a new system allowing candidates to upload and verify their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes without visiting Computer-Based Test centres.
The Board said the initiative followed the integration of its e-Facility platform with examination bodies, beginning with the West African Examinations Council, to enable direct verification of candidates’ results against records held by the issuing examination bodies.
According to JAMB, the new arrangement is designed to make its services faster, safer and more accessible while reducing unnecessary visits to CBT centres, queues and manual processes.
The Board said the system would also address challenges associated with manual O’Level result uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, submission of unverified or fraudulent results, and errors in the manual entry of subjects and grades.
Under the new process, candidates will first verify their results through the designated verification platform before uploading them to their JAMB profiles.
To verify their results, candidates are required to visit buyresultsverificationcode.ng, enter their National Identification Number and select the number of examination sittings and the relevant examination body or bodies.
They will then provide their email address and GSM number, make payment through the available payment options and enter their examination number, examination series and examination year to verify their results and obtain a verification code.
After obtaining the code, candidates are required to send “VERIFY” followed by their verification code to 55019 or 66019.
JAMB said candidates would receive a notification after their results had been uploaded. Candidates with two examination sittings would subsequently be directed to access their profiles on the e-Facility platform.
On the e-Facility dashboard, candidates are expected to select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload”, enter their verification code and select the required subjects from their verified results.
Candidates are required to select a minimum of five and a maximum of nine subjects, with no subject selected more than once, before clicking “Apply the O’Level Results.”
JAMB said successful candidates would receive a notification confirming the submission.
The Board said the verification service would provide candidates with a convenient alternative, particularly during periods of high patronage and network challenges at CBT centres.
It added that the initiative was part of the customer-oriented and technology-driven service delivery agenda of the sixth JAMB Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina.
The Board said it would continue to deploy technology and collaborate with examination and government agencies to simplify its services and make them safer and more accessible to candidates.
