The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has urged eligible Nigerians to complete their Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) before the exercise closes on Sunday, July 26, 2026, warning that eligible voters should not delay obtaining their voter registration.
In a public notice issued on Saturday, the commission encouraged prospective voters to take advantage of its online registration portal, where the registration process can be completed from start to finish through cvr.inecnigeria.org.
INEC also advised applicants who require assistance to visit any of its state offices, local government area offices or designated registration centres nationwide to complete the exercise physically.
According to the commission, registration centres are open daily, including weekends, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., to accommodate eligible Nigerians seeking to register before the deadline.
The electoral body stressed the importance of voter registration, reminding citizens that participation in elections begins with obtaining a valid voter record. It urged Nigerians not to wait until the final day to register, emphasizing that every eligible citizen deserves the opportunity to have their voice heard through the electoral process.
