REV. FR GABRILE OBI OSANG has admonished NIGERIAN SEMINARIANS, particularly those from OGOJA DIOCESE to make themselves available for God.
FR. OSANG who is the first Nigerian to be ordained a ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIEST in GRENADA, WESTERN INDIES made the call shortly after his ordination in GRENADA on September 14th2019 spoke with sunrisetimes.com.ng in a telephone chat.
According to him, “If God can do this for me; he can as well do it for you. Not because I have anything or people but I made myself available for the Lord that is why my ordination was possible, therefore I will advise all of you to make yourself available for the Lord and he will console you,”
FR. OSANG said he was supposed to have been ordained in 2012 in OGOJA DIOCESE, SOUTH-SOUTH, NIGERIA under the then leadership of his Lordship MOST RT. REV. DR. JOHN EBEBE AYAH, but was not. He said he was however found worthy in faraway WESTERN INDIES to GOD’S GLORY.
According to a reliable source his case was not different from other SEMINARIANS who went through the same rejection then.
However, the current Bishop of OGOJA DIOCESE, DR. DONATUS EDET AKPAN has decided to right the wrongs of his predecessor and the people of the diocese are now rejoicing.
Meanwhile, the Parishioners of IMMACULATE CONCEPTION PARISH, BUNYIA IRRUAN, BOKI, CROSS RIVER STATE are rolling out the drums on October 5, 2019 to celebrate their Son who went, saw and conquered in a THANKSGIVING MASS to God who made the seemingly impossible to become possible in the life of FR.OSANG.
