Ahead of the forthcoming edo state gubernatorial election, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun has suspended the activities of the state-owned Edo State Security Network (ESSN) set up by Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State ’till further notice.’
The IGP made the pronouncement at the ongoing stakeholders meeting on the Edo Governorship Election taking place in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
The meeting, organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is part of the schedule of activities leading to the September 21, 2024 election.
