The Governor of NASARAWA STATE, ENGR. ABDULLAHI SULE is favourably disposed to hosting the victorious NASARAWA UNITED FC who lifted the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL prestigious AHLAN PRE-SEASON SOCCER TOURNAMENT held in Kano state recently.
Sunrisetimes.com.ng news gathered that the number one sports supporter of Nasarawa state, GOV. SULE will host the team at the GOVERNMENT HOUSE, LAFIA on Tuesday 22nd October, 2019.
Sources close to the government house revealed that GOV. SULE is still in cloud nine over the victory which comes barely five months under his leadership in the state.
“Our sport loving governor, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi Sule till date is still savouring the victory of the state’s darling team, Nasarawa United since the news of the victory filtered in.
“Ahlan cup is the first silverware that he has won in his brief stay as the governor of the state. To say the least, the amiable governor is planning to host the club management led by Abdullahi Osanga, the technical crew and the players in an elaborate way on Tuesday so that it will send signals to the players and the management that he is ready and capable of rewarding hard work.” Our source concluded.
We also gathered that the supporters club is mobilizing to paint the state capital red come Tuesday.
It would be recalled that NASARAWA UNITED of LAFIA piped EL-KANEMI WARRIOR of MAIDUGURI 1-0 to lift the AHLAN TROPHY in the final game played in Kano to emerged winners of the tournament.
It would also be recalled that GOVERNOR SULE recently sacked BARR. ISSAC DANLADI who was the club chairman and appointed ABDULLAHI OSANGA who has led the team to win her first silverware few months into the office.
