…Masterclass designed to empower prospective actors-AGN
The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN Abuja Chapter, has unveiled a 2-Week Masterclass designed to teach and empower Nigerians who intend to take movie making as a profession. The training according to AGN will also serve as platform to re-train movie Practitioners to improve on their technical and entrepreneurship skills in order to excel in the movie industry.
Speaking to Journalists on Friday in Abuja during a press conference to unveil the Masterclass event, Mayor, Actors Guild of Nigeria, Abuja chapter, Mercy Salma Aminu , described the intensive training as a transformative opportunity for every aspiring actor in Nigeria.
She said “Nigeria is a land of immense talent and creativity. Our stories are vibrant, our culture is rich, and our people are filled with passion. Yet, despite all this potential, many of our talented actors have not had the opportunities or resources to truly shine on the global stage. That is why this masterclass is so important—it is more than just a series of workshops; it is a pathway to empowerment, a bridge to success, and a chance to turn dreams into reality.

Mercy Salma Aminu called on all Nigerians especially the youth to key into the Training. She seek for well-meaning Nigerians to lend their supports through sponsorship for the training.

Also speaking at the unveiling, Project Coordinator, Ambassador Peace Onuiri, said the Masterclass will also give opportunity to attendees to acquire the necessary production equipment at an affordable price, movie production sponsorship and marketing opportunities.
Organizers say the Masterclass will be an intensive training for actors, would be actors and other classes of Nigerians with a minimum educational requirement of an O-level certificate.
According to the AGN, the enrollment fees is 30,000 naira ( thirty-thousand naira only) while certificate after the completion of the program will cost 20,000 naira only.
