Former junior international, Wilson Igbinovia emerged the winner of the second edition of the DavNotch national tennis championship
Igbinovia defeated Peter Lawal in there sets 2-1 having made a comeback from the first set he lost 2/6.
He won the subsequent two sets at 6/4 6/2.
Wilson from the famous Igbinovia tennis family made amazing comeback by changing tactics to overwhelm a tired Lawal to smile home with the N.5m star prize.
He said he was on top of the world for winning the championship having lost in the final of the Dome championship in Benin last month against Henry Atseye.
With the victory, he has now drew level with Lawal having lost to him at Dala Open last year.
“I feel excited to have won this. It heartwarming to win my first senior title,” he said.
His opponent Lawal said he will wait till next week edition of 44th CBN championship to take own pound of flesh back.
