…Names Awardees for Heroes Award
Ratels Sports Development Foundation on Thursday in Abuja held the draws for the Third edition of the Flying Officers cup and also unveiled names of Awardees for the Heroes Awards.
Speaking during a brief opening remarks in a ceremony held at the FIFA Goal Project of the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, Chairman of Ratels Sports Development foundation, Barr. Paul Ede said this year awards is dedicated to the late Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile and other fallen heroes.
Barr. Ede said he hopes the achievements of the late Tolulope Arotile would encourage other young girls to pursue their dreams despite any challenges that comes their way.
The highpoint of the event was the draws for the 2021 edition of the Flying Officers tournament.
According to the Local organising committee, sixteen teams including Police Ladies Fc of Ghana will be taking part.
Others are; 2019 Champions, Edo Queens, FC Robo Queens, Osun Babes FC, Confluence Queens FC, , Royal Queens and Sunshine Queens, Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens FC, Lakeside Queens FC, Oasis Ladies FC, SGH Academy FC, and Dannaz Ladies FC.

The Ratels Sports Development Awards will be officially presented to recipients on the 24th of October at the Area 10 Sports Complex, Garki Abuja at 1pm. The award which is the climax of the 2021 edition of the Flying Officers Cup has the theme “Honouring Our Fallen Heroes For Peace And Unity”.
