Identical Justice, a newly produced movie by British-Nigerian actress, Toyin Nike Olabintan has already making the wave in the international film arena.

Olabintan, whose stage name is Toyin Nike, produced Identical Justice in 2021 under Toyin Angel New Generation Enterprise Ltd. Since it was premiered at the Odeon IMAX Cinema in Greenwich, London on 4 March, 2022, Identical Justice has been a toast of lovers of movie across the world.

First, the N50 million-cost Identical Justice won an award at the 2022 Auber International Film Festival,  and was officially selected in the finalist at the Cinematic European Film Festival 2022, while it got nominated in the Best Feature Film category in the Bayelsa International Film Award scheduled for Yenegoa, Bayelsa State in Nigeria from 26th – 29th October 2022.

Toyin Nike told journalists during a parley in Lagos that the film featured notable renowned Nigerian actors and actresses who include Bolanle Ninalowo, Shaffy Bello, Jemima Osunde, Akin Lewis, Abayomi Alvin and a host of others.

According to Toyin Nike, the Identical Justice was shot in two different countries, Nigeria and the United Kingdom. The movie was directed by award winner Tope Alake in Nigeria and Marc Adebesin in the United Kingdom.

Toyin Nike, who was a former footballer, having gone on trials with some UK football clubs such as Arsenal, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Charlton FC, but could not make headway due to injury, revealed the reason behind the new movie. The actress, who is married with two kids, and hailed from Ekiti State, southwest Nigeria said the mysterious death of her cousin in Nigeria few years ago motivated her to produce the Identical Justice.

“Unfortunately, I did not last long in football as injury shortened my ambition and I had to quit because I didn’t succeed. I found solace in acting which I have been doing in Nigeria before relocating to the UK. I was in a drama group with the Mountains of Fire Ministry and in the UK, the music director of a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC).

“Acting is really in me. In 2018, I enrolled at the renowned Identity School of Acting (IDSA) in London after my university education to hone my skills in the craft, while I fully began my acting career in 2019, and since then I have never looked back. I had starred in the movie “Hard to Leave” in the UK,” said Toyin Nike, who holds BA (Hons) Economics with Law at the University of Greenwich, England

“The Identical Justice is a movie of a twin sister, a military officer, who lives abroad who comes to Nigeria to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of her other twin sister in a corrupt ridden society. I play the lead role in the movie,” she said.
