The Senior Special Assistant to the President, Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Ita Enang has urged the Akwa Ibom League of Professionals to forge peaceful relationship with the federal and state governments if it want to achieve its noble goals and objectives.
Senator Enang gave this advice when the executives of the League of Professionals (LAKPROF) paid a courtesy call on him on Thursday 3rd December, 2020 in Abuja.
According to the Presidential aide, ”It is the Federal government that is in charge of security, drives the economy and whatever you want can be done through the federal government”, He also urged them “to give absolute and maximum support to his Excellency Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.
“He is the governor of Akwa Ibom and is in-charge of the economy of the states and other revenue that comes to the states, therefore whatever your political leaning and opinions, never get your association to have corporate leaning against the government but let it be corporate leaning in support of the federal and state governments because whatever you need to do you need the government”, He added.
Speaking further, he noted that “political parties, political associations, are doing their job in propagating political issues and questions on political interest, but let the associations like this keep and maintain the track of political neutrality and support the government in power”.
“Our focused in the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs is working Oil Alternative Economy Particularly Agriculture and integration of Artisanal Refineries and engagement of citizens in oil alternative programmes, we will work with you in most of this areas that we have leverage at which you will want to participate” He added
Earlier, the president of LAKPROF, Dr. Enobong Essien said that LAKPROF Consultancy will particularly facilitate the entry of Indian investors and off course other investors to Akwa Ibom State.
