As Countdown begins to the annual Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, the Lagos State Government and the organizers of the event, Nilayo Sports Management, has issued a travel advisory.
The travel advisory contained In a press release made available on Tuesday 11th of February, 2025 title: Important Travel Advisory: Access Bank Lagos City Marathon – February 15th, 2025″ reads:
“Important Travel Advisory: Access Bank Lagos City Marathon – February 15th, 2025″ reads:
“Dear All,
“Please be advised that the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon will be taking place on Saturday, February 15th, 2025. The race will begin at 6:00 AM.
The marathon route will encompass the following areas:
- Starting Point: Stadium
- Ikorodu Road
- Gbagada
- Third Mainland Bridge
- Dolphin Estate
- Alfred Rewane Road
- Falomo
- Bourdillon Road
- Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue
- Akin Adesola Street
- Finish Line: Eko Atlantic
Please note that these roads will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic during the marathon.
“To avoid potential delays and inconvenience, we strongly encourage all members to plan their journeys accordingly. Consider alternative routes or modes of transportation if you need to travel through these areas on the morning of February 15th.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,” the statement said.
The event which is the 10th edition will take place on the 15th of February, 2025 in Lagos, Nigeria.
