MALLAM MUHAMED BABA ABDULLAHI Tuesday won convincingly to emerge President of the Nigeria Archery Federation in an Elective Congress held in Abuja.
In an election that was witnessed by delegates from various states across the country, ABDULAHI was returned unanimously to begin a second tenure of four years in office.
President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, ENGINEER HABU GUMEL who was ably represented by the 3rd Vice President, ENGR. (CHIEF) ISHAKU TIKON oversaw the elections while the electoral committee members were BRIGADIER GENERAL A. MAIKANO (Chairman ), HON. AZANIA OMO-AGEGE ( Member),
SP. MOHAMMED LERAMA ( Member) and ALH. SALIHU IBRAHIM KINDO acting as Secretary of the electoral committee.
In a Press statement from the federation after the elections, the newly elected President, MALLAM MUHAMMED BABA ABDULAHI thanked all stakeholders for their unflinching support and a successful elective congress while promising that the new Board will take the sports of Archery to a new level in Nigeria.
In his words: “This is to formally thank you and to say we appreciate your presence and contributions towards the successful conduct of the Nigeria Archery Federation elective Congress conducted on 10th March, 2020 which ushered in the new EXCOs of Federation.
“We appreciate the efforts, contributions and presence of the various State delegates to the Congress.
“We also appreciate the presence of the sport media crew and especially the FCT Sports Council, the statement concluded.

The new executive board are;

Dr. Ogbonna Onyeisi — 1st Vice President

4. Olatunji O. Boluji — Secretary General
5. Abubakar Bawa — Assist Sec. Gen.
6. Mrs. Toyin Obishakin Williams– Treasurer

9. Engr. Austine Chigbolu — Member
10. Andy Gabriel — Member
11. Dr. David Tukura – Member(north central
12. Mr. Joshua Adamu — Member.
