Another child has been found abandoned in Galadima, Abuja, in the latest incident raising concerns over the growing number of children being left vulnerable in communities.
The child was picked up on Monday, September 14, 2026, although details surrounding the circumstances of the abandonment were not immediately available.
Those involved in the rescue appealed to members of the public with information about the child’s parents or relatives to come forward and assist in tracing the family.
“This disturbing trend of children being abandoned or left vulnerable in our communities must stop. Every child deserves safety, love and protection,” the appeal stated.
The public was also urged to provide any useful information that could help reunite the child with the parents or other family members.
“If you have any information that can help us trace this child’s parents or family, please come forward. Let’s help give this child a family and a safe home,” the appeal added.
