President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday departed Abuja for Europe to begin a three-week annual vacation, with London in the United Kingdom listed as his first destination.
The President is expected to spend the period on what the Presidency described as a working vacation before returning to Nigeria.
A statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu would return home after the leave.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave. His first stop will be London, United Kingdom,” the statement said.
The Presidency said the President would resume official engagements in the country after the three-week break.
According to the statement, Tinubu is expected to return home after the working vacation to join activities ahead of the January 2027 election.
“President Tinubu is expected to return home after the working vacation to join the hectic campaign for the January 2027 election,” the statement added.
