The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, has said President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms are beginning to deliver measurable results, citing improvements in key macroeconomic indicators and positive assessments by local and international institutions as evidence that the administration’s policies are strengthening Nigeria’s economy.
Alausa stated this in a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media, Ikharo Attah. He said the administration had implemented difficult but necessary reforms aimed at stabilising the economy, improving macroeconomic fundamentals and laying the foundation for sustainable long-term growth.
According to him, reports by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, Bloomberg and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) show that the reforms are producing tangible outcomes.
The minister maintained that the country’s economic progress is now being validated by independent data rather than political narratives.
“Nigeria’s economic progress is no longer a matter of political rhetoric but one supported by credible data and independent assessments,” he said.
He added that easing inflation, expanding economic activities and improvements in other macroeconomic indicators demonstrate growing confidence in the economy.
Alausa also expressed confidence that the administration’s performance would remain a major factor in the 2027 presidential election, saying the reforms are designed to deliver enduring benefits for Nigerians.
“The President is focused on building a stronger Nigeria for generations to come. These reforms are not designed for short-term gains but to create lasting prosperity,” he said.
