Nigeria’s rising Squash racket star Onaopemipo Adegoke will fly the country’s flag at the 2025 World Games in China marking a significant milestone for Nigeria Squash Federation.
The squash event at the games will feature 30 qualified participants, with Adegoke representing Nigeria in the men’s singles category.
The 25-year-old squash player with a global ranking of 148 according to the Professional Squash Association (PSA) rankings has won notable titles including the Squash Inspire Men’s tournament in Columbia, US.
The Nigerian will face stiff competition from top seeds like Victor Crouin from France, Dimitri Steinmann from Switzerland, and Raphael Kandra from Germany.
According to organizers , the World Games 2025 promises to be an exciting celebration of sports excellence, cultural diversity, and unforgettable experiences.
The 2025 World Games happening in Chengdu, China, will run from August 7 to 17, 2025, with over 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries competing in 35 sports and 254 medal events.
