A renounced entrepreneur and youth development advocate,Engr. Dr. Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo, has come to the aid of Nigerian student athletes by providing them with essential kits for the upcoming 31st World University Games in Chengdu, China. The games are scheduled to take place from July 28 to August 8, 2023. This was announced by the Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA).
According to a statement from NUGA “the body has encountered significant financial challenges in its preparations for this international sporting event, forcing the association to rely heavily on universities for qualified athletes. Recognizing the crucial importance of adequately equipping these talented individuals for their participation, Engr. Dr. Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo, through her subsidiary AG Apparel, has generously agreed to donate kits for the Nigerian contingent competing at the World University Games.
“The kits, designed to meet the highest standards of quality and functionality, will provide the Nigerian student athletes with the necessary attire and gear to compete at their best.

Dr Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo, is the Managing Director and Chief Executive of FunmiAyinke Nigeria Limited, one of the leading Engineering Consulting firms in Nigeria, a certified Mechanical Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), hails from Arigidi Akoko in Akoko-North Local Government of Ondo State.
