Members of the Lagos state football association with the backing of Nigeria Football federation brazenly flouted a valid court order issued by Hon Justice (DR) R.O Olukolu of the Lagos State high court dated 21st Day of March 2024.
The Hon Justice (DR) R.O Olukolu ruling of 21st march 2024 states as follows:
“AN ORDER OF INTERIM INJUNCTION IS hereby granted restraining the defendants from Convening and holding the EXTRAORDINARY General Assembly of Lagos state football Association (LSFA) scheduled for the 23RD of march 2024 and from taking further steps whatsoever in connection with this extraordinary general meeting of the association pending the hearing and determination of the applications on Notice before this court.”
But why is the NFF always meddling in the internal affairs of states football associations?
There are ongoing litigations in Taraba and Bayelsa states Football Association and several states FA are now being run by imposed normalization committees .
The disobedience of this court order has already plunged the Lagos state Football Association into full blow crisis
Our only interest in this matter is for the Footballer’s bloc to be adequately represented on the board of the Lagos State Football Association.
