Four out of the six Directors sacked on 26th February, 2016 by the immediate past Governor of Oyo State; SENATOR ABIOLA AJIMOBI were on Thursday reinstated back to the civil service by GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE of Oyo State
The four reinstated Directors include MR. PETER AJAYI of the Commercial Services Department, MR. SEGUN LAWALE of the Administration and Supply Department, Engineer NIYI AKINLABI of the Engineering Services Department and MR. OYEBOADE OYEWOLE of the News & Current Affairs Department.
Two out of the Directors, MRS. FUNMI PELUOLA of the Programmes Department and MR. ADEMOLA ADEKANMBI of the Finance & Accounts Department were reported to have retired from the civil service after the 2016 sack by the immediate past administration in the state.
The Oyo State Governor, ENGR. SEYI MAKINDE then a Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a statement issued from his Campaign Organisation and signed by his Spokesman; PRINCE DOTUN OYELADE now the Executive Chairman, BCOS promised to revisit the cases of the 6 BCOS Directors who were arbitrarily sacked without proper recourse to the civil service rules and legality if he emerged the Governor.
In fulfilment of his campaign promises, few months into the government, the Directors are today back to their duty posts just like some of their colleagues from other government parastatals and agencies also affected by the sack.
While addressing the workers, the Executive Chairman of the BCOS; PRINCE DOTUN OYELADE said the steps taken by GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE was in line of justice for those that were sacked without following the civil service rules.
He advised the reinstated Directors to justify their reinstatement back to the civil service and contribute positively to the on going efforts of repositioning the corporation.
