Former President of the Nigerian Senate, IKE EKWEREMADU has mourned MALLAM ABBA KYARI, Chief of Staff to PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI who died yesterday saying, “it is a heavy loss to the presidency and the nation which he gave his all”.
In a letter signed by his chief press secretary, Uche Anichukwu, EKWEREMADU said, “I am saddened by the news of the passing on of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari. My heartfelt condolences go to his family, the entire nation. May his soul rest in peace. Amen”.
MALLAM ABBA KYARI was the first high profile case of the Covid-19 infection and the first high profile casualty in the country.
He tested positive for the virus last month when he travelled to Germany for a power deal.
