A former member of the upper chamber of the national Assembly, who represented Ogun East Senatorial District, between 2015 and 2019, SENATOR BURUJI KASHAMU is dead.
According to a reliable source, KASHAMU was said to have died from coronavirus complications at the First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the age of 62 years.
The late Senator died in the same hospital where late SENATOR ISIAQ ABIOLA AJIMOBI, a former governor of Oyo State, and late ABBA KYARI, President Buhari’s Chief of Staff passed away.
KASHAMU was said to be managing diabetes and high blood pressure before he suffered Covid-19 attack. He spent over a week at the hospital before his final departure.
A former Senator from Bayelsa State, SENATOR BEN MURRAY-BRUCE who confirmed the sad news on his Twitter handle wrote,
“I have just lost my good friend of forever to #COVID19. Until his death, Sen. Buruji Kashamu and I were inseparable. He died today at First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos. May his gentle soul rest in peace. I pray his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this heavy loss.”
