Basic Sports News, BSN Sports in conjunction with the FCT Football Association is to organise a one-day training and capacity building workshop for journalists in the FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY, FCT, Abuja.
The Training will be held on Wednesday 11th, March 2020 at the HAWTHONS SUITES, Area 11 GARKI. Abuja, from 10am to 4pm.
In press statement issued by the Managing Editor of BSN sports, MR NIYI BUSARI, the capacity building training with the theme: “EXPLORING EFFICACY IN JOURNALISM” is to improve sports reportage and teach the basic ethics of the profession of journalism.
According to BUSARI, the training will be handled by experienced Resource persons in the field of Journalism and Information and Communication technology.
The one-day Training will cover areas such as: Radio, Television and the Online medium with topics including; developing passion for sports casting, how to build a career in sports and making your content pay.
Also the training will help media officers in the area of managing news.
Veteran journalist, FEMI JOHNSON (General Manager NTA Sports), JOHN JOSHUA AKANJI (SA Media to Minister of Sports), VICTOR IROELE (SA Media to former of Sports minister), KEMI AREOLA (SA on ICT to Minister of Sports) and KOLA DANIEL (Media aide to the honourable Minister of youth and Sports developments are expected to be Resource persons.
