Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali proved decisive, saving two Egyptian penalties to swing momentum Nigeria’s way. Successful conversions from Akor Adams, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi and Ademola Lookman ensured the bronze medal was secured.
The victory gives Nigeria another AFCON podium finish and closes their tournament with momentum and belief.
Attention now shifts to the final in Rabat, where Morocco and Senegal will battle for continental supremacy on Sunday .
