Bayelsa State currently tops the medals table after 5 days of competition at the ongoing Gateway Games with 30 Gold, 12 Silver and 11 Bronze making total of 53 .
In weightlifting, Team Bayelsa emerged overall winner scooping 9 Gold medals to consolidate their dominance in the sport.
Defending Champion Delta is 2nd on the medals chart with 20 Gold,8 Silver and 25 Bronze.
In third position is Team Rivers State with 11 Gold,9 Silver and 8 bronze
Team Oyo top 4th position with 9 gold, 7 Silver and 13 bronze ,while Team Osun follows as
5th position in the table with 8 gold ,1 silver and 1 bronze
Team Lagos previously 5th on the table now in 6th position with 7 gold, 8 Silver and 16 bronze.
Benue State is occupying the 25th position with 0 Gold, 0 silver and 4 bronze.
